Excel Driving School is excited to announce the expansion of our services to serve all of Southeast Michigan. If you are not familiar with us already, we are a Secretary of State licensed Driver Education Provider for the State of Michigan. We offer teen and adult services to everyone but I am writing you to tell you more about the improvements to our Driver Rehabilitation Division. In January 2008 we were awarded an exclusive license for the State of Michigan to provide the DCAT cognitive assessment tool. The DCAT is a touch screen, software based testing tool used for identifying drivers with impairments in their cognitive abilities that are relevant for driving. The DCAT accurately predict s on-the-road performance and provides immediate testing results. We have also designed 5 full cockpit simulators to work on basic or advanced driving skills with our students. We call this program "Real Skills" and you can learn more at www.real-skills.net. Excel Driving School – Rehabilitation Division, offers driver evaluations, tutoring, simulation training and on the road lessons to students with all types of disabilities. Our services can be done out of a student’s home, school or our offices. We provide pick up and drop off services from home, school or work. Our offices are open 7 days a week for evaluations and training. We currently are a vendor with Michigan Rehabilitation Services - DELG but also accept private referrals.
